Tell me a cool Mass Effect Fact: The Citadel Council forms the Citadel government. Their decisions have vast-reaching consequences, and they are incredibly deliberate in their decision-making. They employ the Spectres to retain peace throughout the galaxy. They are the single most important governing body in Mass Effect. They are horribly, horribly inefficient.
Character Name: Rirdak Vux
Character Race: Krogan
Why did you choose this race?: I've noticed that a very large number of Krogan are normally thought of as bad news. I'd like to change it up a bit and create a character that isn't a jerk unless he needs to be.
Age: 299
What can your character do for our ship? (Muscle, Maintenance, Triggerman, Comedic Act, etc.): Mechanical engineering technician and novice electrician with minor medical practice.
Character Equipment: Medium Explorer armor, M-77 Paladin, Tool kit for repairing equipment.
Moral Alignment: (See Chart) Good Lawful
Strengths: Very trustworthy, Extremely dedicated to his work, Friendly, Expert with repairing machinery or electrical equipment.
Weaknesses: Get very nervous when talking with other Krogan due to bad experiences with them in the past, Has a bad case of OCD, Nervous around women of any species.
Character Backstory a.ka. how or why are you here (One paragraph minimum, be creative!)(More backstory does not always mean a better app! Put thought into how they'll interact with others too!): Rirdak Vux was born on Tuchanka, like many other of his kind. Vux was from the clan of Rirdak, a very strong clan with an overwhelming sense of pride and tenacity in combat. Vux on the other hand, wanted nothing to do with combat; and spent most of his time building things or repairing broken equipment. At first, his clan saw him as a weakling and treated him like he was nothing but a pyjak, occasionally ganging up on him for his cowardice. Dispite the way his clan treated him, he would still treat them with respect, even though he feared for his own life every single day.
Clan Rirdak eventually accepted the fact that he simply wasn't a fighter and they found that he was useless in their eyes. They cast him out of their clan and told him that he was a disgrace to the entire Krogan species. That comment kept with him as he traveled through the harsh wasteland like landscape of Tuchanka by himself. He considered ending his own life due to the near impossible odds of his survival. That was until he continued his walking and after what seemed like days of traveling; he found a scavenger ship landed in the sand, the cargo door was wide open and it had stopped for repairs on a broken landing hydraulic on one of the four stands on it's landing gear. Vux approached the scavengers that seened to be struggling a bit with one of the hydraulic hoses of the stand and offered to help, which was at first declined until he assured the scavenger that he could fix the problem, which he did.
Vux arranged an agreement with the scavengers for helping the repairing of their landing gear, for doing this act, he requested to work with them; and as his time of 12 years with their crew went on, he learned just about everything he could learn about working on mechanical equipment and a bit of electrical work as well. After his 12 years with the scavenger crew, they went to the citadel to burn through their hard earned credits. The citadel fascinated Vux so much, that he decided that this would be the perfect place for him to stay. He thanked his former accomplices and went to find himself another job, coming across an advertisement for a kiosk for only 1000 credits. His money that he earned with the scavengers added up to 10,000 credits in total, so he contacted the address of the advertiser and bought the kiosk, labeling it 'Rirdak Repairs'.
He spent about 200 years with that kiosk, running it smoothly most of the time, qouting that a repair from Rirdak Repairs will last you your entire life without needing another. During his years of working at his kiosk, he chose to study the medical field in case he would need some knowledge with it for future preparation. Once he reached the age of 299, business started to slow down. Income started to dwindle more and more each week. After another year, he closed down his kiosk and applied for several different jobs from Janitorial jobs to electronic maintenance. Until a job offer sparked his interest. It was a job offer from the Yoshida Syndicate; it said that he was recommended by one of the syndicate's employees and it claimed that he was a master with a tool kit. He acceoted the job offer and was sent directly to the Giesha, due to the complaints about parts of the ship bursting into flames from time to time. The syndicate gave him an M-77 paladin as a first payment, stating that he would need it for this line of work. Out of respect for his new employers, he accepted the weapon and began his new career opportunity.
