| Steam Name:Nervous Man Steam ID:todd675campbell Steam Profile Link:http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198039824998/ Age: 17 (9/23) Rp Experience: Have played a little on different RP servers in gmod. Roleplaying games are my favorite genre. The most roleplaying I do is actually in DnD where I’m involved in two campaigns How did you stumble upon our server?: I was looking for Mass Effect RP servers on steam Tell me a cool Mass Effect Fact: Salarians only need to sleep for one hour each day. Character Name: Olor Ghan Swa Fulsoom Karaten Narr EadiArkop Daks Character Race: Salarian Why did you choose this race?: Salarians are really interesting because they are motivated by the pursuit of knowledge. They represent an individualistic style of thinking not seen in other cool races (like the quarians or krogans who seem more collectivist). This would make the roleplay experience much easier for me for I’m much the same way. Age: 18 What can your character do for our ship? Daks is interested by the pursuits of science and, although a new scientists, enjoys technical pursuits enough to work on maintenance for ships. Combat wise, incredibly inexperienced (had a few altercations here and there). He can work in science and engineering Character Equipment: -striker pistol -Civilian clothes -Repairing tools -Laboratory equipment (and safety equipment[/list] Moral Alignment: Chaotic neutral Strengths:Very well rounded for age. Shows to be an adept learner. Can keep very calm under pressure. Unlike most salarians, talks at an average pace Weaknesses: Likes to do his work an his own. He is very clumsy. Will often forget to share imperative information. His experiments seem to teeter between what is ethical and unethical as he is blinded by his goals. Character Backstory: Daks lived an unmiraculous childhood for a salarian. He was born on Olor into poverty and helped his father clean a corporate building as his father was a janitor. Daks lived his young life doing so until he was about 5 years old. Despite being young (even by salarian standards) a interplanetary volus merchant was moving through salarian space when he found the young salarian. The merchant saw potential in him and recruited Daks aboard his merchant vessel paying his father very little credits in exchange for his son’s service. Aboard the merchant’s ship, Daks worked hard for very little but slowly worked up more and more knowledge about maintaining ship’s engines and in general he developed an abundance of technical knowledge as he served in space for 4 years. At the end of his service, the Volus he worked for suffered a terrible infection due to exposure and died. The whole crew left the ship and went their seperate ways.
Arkop Daks was now left alone on an unfamiliar planet. Fortunately for him, the salarian military was recruiting. They offered Daks full scholarship in exchange for his enlistment. Daks Spent the next 8 years receiving a doctorate in bio-engineering. He now seeks the familiarity of a ship to pursue his career and has found the geisha suitable.

| I was already hoping for more scientists at the laboratory ~ Currently my only character and Salarian, Professor (and currently lead scientist) Zaellus Sija, works on his own at the moment. It'd also be cool if you have a real-life background on science, but I'm sure that even if you don't, you'll learn enough from me through Zaellus.
There is only one thing I'd like to see thats being changed; Salarians have an extremely long name, it goes like so; planet, nation, city, clan, given name. In the case of my character, that's Nasurn Ziban Aegohr Sija Zaellus. In Human etiquette his name would be Zaellus Sija. Examples from the actual game are Gorot II Heranon Mal Dinest Got Inoste Ledra, his name in Human style would be Ledra Inoste.
Its not mandatory, but I'd like to see you using the same format.
Then, I feel your character is a bit young. Salarians don't live long, approximately forty years, and having an eighteen year old character who has already been in the military and has a full engineering and doctors education doesn't feel right to me. In the game, Mordin Solus, a pure genius, is born around 2150 and we're currently in 2183, meaning that he's already in his thirties which is very old for a Salarian.
On a side note; you'd be the third Salarian here so I hope you get accepted.

| To be fair Automomous, salarians are a looot faster at processing information and only need an hour of sleep a day. So it's actually reasonable imo to have the character have that experience at that age. | |

I would like to note in ME2 that Mordin mentions his nephew making tenure at university at only 16 so I do believe they reach maturity earlier than that and it is possible for a salarian to recieve a college education between 16-18 years old. I have some background in micro physicochemistry but nothing extensive. I'm currently working on my first experimental design. Anyway, thank you for the recommendations and I will be making alterations.

Anyway, thank you for the recommendations and I will be making alterations. Physical chemistry is mandatory for my current education, performing titrations and measuring refractive index', you name it, isn't my thing. Genetics, microbiology, hematology, pathology and immunology, that's my thing. I believe that both of us could create some interesting passive role-play scenarios that are inspired by science. Also, yes, Mordin does indeed mention it. I'm also sure they reach maturity earlier than most species, but I don't think a Salarian would live his life faster than other beings when it comes to spending time on certain areas, if you know what I mean. You made the changes to your characters' backstory and it appeals to me a lot more now. Your Salarian would be more mature and experienced than he was in the old backstory. He's a scientist and hasn't had a job yet; I'm sure that a starting bio-engineer would come in handy for the Yoshida syndicate as most of the gang members are augmented. Daks also has a lot of experience in engineering in general which is useful for not only the ship, but the laboratory as well and just like Zaellus, he has a military background that can prove useful in certain situations. And finally, you extended the name of your character to the traditional Salarian etiquette which is a nice detail. You have my support now! Let's hope more follow.

| I feel like another Salarian on the ship and in the science labs will overhaul specific areas of passive roleplay; making them more enjoyable. I'm also interested in your character's backstory and how he seems to be more of a 'normal salarian', if that makes sense. You seem outfitted for the role due to the quick changes on this post and your scientific experience, so it's a support from me too. | |

| Add me on Steam, I'll help you out as best as I can with PAC since there are no rigged Salarian models. Staff should give you the password. | |
