Steam Name: [TJR] Hank Handsome™ Steam ID: STEAM_0:1:50592883 Steam Profile Link: http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198061451495/ Age: 18 Rp Experience: Previous char on Frontier still alive. 5 years or so of Serious rp. Previous Mass Effect rp. How did you stumble upon our server?: Was on Singularity. Then that went down and up came this one. Tell me a cool Mass Effect Fact: Quarians are actually in lore the second most human race in the galaxy. More so than Asari. The only difference being the legs and fingers. In one of the games their blood was red. In another it was purple. Same with the comics. The race never seems to have set features.
Character Name: Talarize D'yseora (Have fun pronouncing it.) Character Race: Asari Why did you choose this race?: I've enjoyed playing my Quarian character and I intend to continue. But I don't want to be on them all the time as there were quite a few Quarians last time I was on. Asari are my second favourite race. Age: 287. What can your character do for our ship? (Muscle, Maintenance, Triggerman, Comedic Act, etc.): A cross between muscle and Triggerman. That is in terms of graceful muscle. The char uses Biotics at a rather powerful level. Character Equipment: Asari Combat armor. Acolyte Pistol. Biotics: Warp, Singularity, Stasis and Throw. Adept Fitness Implant. Moral Alignment: (See Chart) Chaotic Good. Strengths: Due to her reasonably high age for an Asari. Equivalent of a 29 year old Human. Tala's biotics are reasonably strong. As well as this she has a rather decent acrobatic and intelligence level. Weaknesses: Due to her light frame and average armor it's unlikely that she will survive a shot to a critical area. Taking a hit to a chest while the armor may save her will probably break a rib or two. Character Backstory a.ka. how or why are you here (One paragraph minimum, be creative!):
Thessia was a planet bursting with life. To humans this life would be Alien. Very alien. Well sort of. Kind of like that movie cliche where Aliens look and sound human. Having the same frame as a human while using the excuse of there face as a difference. Never the less this is actually how it was when humanity discovered the Asari. A race of highly intelligent and pretty much all female looking blue aliens. In the year 1900 man was starting to discover flight properly. Finally getting itself off the ground. This would be the same year Talarize was born. She was born to two female Asari and conceived naturally. Some humans may call this impossible but then again Alien life is full of surprises and in all honesty it was normal for the Asari. Like all other Asari she already had Eezo nodules linked to her nervous system. Giving her a natural link to biotic abilities. Not that she knew how to use a single ability.
Talarize's early life was a fairly standard one. She went to school and college for the first seventy years of her life, Not all of this was simple lessons like science and history. She'd also decided to begin training on her biotic abilities. Something that would more than likely take a bit more than seventy years. The Asari training with her used no implants. Why would they need them? They trained on average six hours a day. Sometimes more if the class was up too it. Starting with barriers. It didn't take the students long to figure out how to project a barrier. It did however take them a while to learn how to project it around themselves. Some weren't looking to learn a wide variety of biotics. Most likely wannabe Vanguards. After fifty or so years some class members dropped out. Others continued. The adepts.
Tala after eighty years or so was a rather efficient biotics user. Mainly specialising in removal of targets for places difficult to reach. Or just shredding their molecules with rapidly shifting eezo energy (Warp). With her current skill set she could either continue studying and become one of Thessia's more intelligent people. Or should could enlist into the only division of military in the Asari culture. Known as Commando's these Asari were usually sent on missions of great importance to the race. All were highly trained in biotic abilities and all had a very high focus level. Option two was selected. She found herself in a large room with what appeared to be holographic targets down range. Five or so Asari watching her from a room above the training grounds. Some targets were behind cover. On her left was a single Acolyte pistol. Which was quickly transferred to her right hand. In front a target behind cover. With a rather first flash of blue energy a ball of biotic energy had found itself in existence above the holographic targets. Further more after a single second the first found itself disintegrated, Followed shortly by the second. Tala then proceeded to take cover. Having shot down the two targets who were in cover. All that remained was the target steadily advancing on her. She moved round the cover, Brought her hand up to the target as it glowed a bright blue. before a seeking style projected moved forwards rapidly with a distorted pace. Moving towards the holographic target and shredding it.
She'd passed the trial. This wasn't training. It was simply a pre-training test. The targets were not shielded. They carried no arms. The trial was meant specifically to make sure the Asari knew how to handle her biotics. Which Talarize had proven. Now began the dangerous training. Standard stuff. Weapons training. Perfecting biotics. All that stuff. However the final stage would see Trainees in groups of three shipped off to a random planet where they would have to survive for a year. A tough but effective test chosen by the locals of her area. Their ship took off. A small craft holding supplies. Two pilots and three Huntresses. While on route a catastrophic failure occurred with the ships primary drive core. Now plummeting towards an alien world the ship seemed doomed. Some thirty meters before impact the side of the shuttle was ripped open and Talarize found herself plummeting out of the crashed ship.
An hour or so had passed. She opened her eyes. Finding that the snow covered surface had broke her fall. Her arm was fractured and she had little in the way of tools to survive. A smoke cloud could be seen in the distance. She made her way for this smoke cloud. Finding a crashed ship with four bodies in it. Some brutally shredded by pieces of metal which had broken apart from the ship. A single supply box had survived the crash. Containing food and water for a month. As well as a single Acolyte pistol and a flair gun. She had no choice but to find some place, Deploy a rescue beacon and wait. She settled in a cave about twenty miles from the crash sight. The beacon was deployed outside. She waited and waited. Knowing the Asari would receive the distress call and come to pick her up. But no message was ever received. She'd been stranded for two months now. Barely with any food left and close to death. On a cold morning of 2005 the sound of engines woke the Asari from her sleep. Had the republic finally received her distress signal. She rushed outside to go look. What was landing didn't look to be of the Asari. Nor did it look to be of any military. More like a salvaging vessel. It was landing somewhere near the wreckage of the ship she crashed in. Frantically she made her way towards this ship. Trecking through the snow to reach it. Upon arrival all that she saw was a Batarian and a Krogan. Salvaging the ship. Not the best company she thought to herself. She however approached the two. They seemed to be rather surprised to see a survivor. She explained her situation. How she'd come to be abandoned by the Republic. How long she'd been there for.
As the salvaging ship took off she sat in the cargo hold. Thinking to herself. The Republic had abandoned her. Where she once thought she was always have the Republic by her side now all she saw was hate. The salvaging ship was on its way to the pirate station of Omega. She would spend many years here. A mercenary. Taking jobs. Removing people others wanted gone. She was pretty good at it as well. Earning many favours as well as her own ship. Which of course she used to get of Omega as fast as possible. She landed on yet another planet. This time job hunting. Not much was available but work on one ship caught her attention. She moved over to speak with the captain of this ship. | |

| Hello Hank, welcome back. Good to see you. Dunno if anyone's gone over your app yet, so I'll do the honors. - Hank Handsome wrote:

In this section I wish you'd gone into a bit more detail about what you mean by "graceful muscle" and "biotics at a rather powerful level". The second one moreso than the first. What exactly can she do? eg. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being something akin to a Commando, where does Talarize fall? - Hank Handsome wrote:

Weaknesses: Due to her light frame and average armor it's unlikely that she will survive a shot to a critical area. Taking a hit to a chest while the armor may save her will probably break a rib or two. And here, too. Is it possible for you to make a more solid list of strengths and weaknesses with details as to how they pertain to her in social situations and combat situations? For instance...
* Talarize is the equivalent of a 29-year old human. A young adult, she's experienced enough in her life to make her comfortable in many social situations. Even when it comes to morally ambiguous choices, she'll have a fairly solid foothold as to what she wants to choose. * Average armor means low damage resistance. A well-placed shot to her head, chest or even a limb will easily put her out of commission; even minor damage to the armor may translate to bruises and broken bones internally, meaning she's not safe even with a glancing or grazing shot.
Perhaps try to aim for at least three in each category, striking a nice balance between the two.
Mind you, none of these criticisms are enough for me to deny this app. I will ACCEPT as-is but encourage revision if you wrote up a profile in our Character Profile section. Just put a bit more detail into those categories, and as long as the lore checks out through our residential lore nazis, you're golden!- Accepted App:
